Opportunities in Salesbuildr represent active sales deals. They hold all the context for a deal — the company, contacts, quotes, and status — and flow through your pipeline stages from lead to closed-won.

Note: Creating and importing opportunities requires a PSA integration (Autotask, ConnectWise, or HaloPSA) or a HubSpot connection.

Managing Opportunities

Editing opportunities (19 fields), adding notes with PSA sync, setting primary quotes, losing and deleting opportunities, 5 statuses, admin default settings, and automatic stage mapping from quote status.

Line of Business

The Line of Business field shows based on who is set as Owner on the opportunity, not who is viewing it and not on their role. A user with all permissions can still miss it.

The dropdown only appears when that Owner has line-of-business assignments from the PSA (Autotask or ConnectWise). Admins often see it because they're usually synced PSA staff with those assignments. The affected user may not be, or may be the owner on opportunities they open while admins see it on theirs.

When it shows
The Line of Business field only appears when the Owner on that opportunity has line-of-business assignments on their user profile. Those assignments come from the PSA integration (Autotask or ConnectWise), not from Salesbuildr roles.
